My client Ms Deborah hired me to create a new layout for her two-storey house.
The idea is to create annexes with separate entrance, but the changes were not straight forward because of a fire safety concern. After careful thinking, I proposed an internal layout alteration and sent it to her for approval. As soon as I got the green light, I submitted the drawings and application to Derbyshire Building Control (Ref: 21/02095/DEXFP).
I used Revit for this project because I wanted to try the functionality of phasing in Revit. It turned out to be useful, easy and quick to use! I also created a new family type for windows, doors and different type of walls and materials (including new roof materials) I created different types of walls and colour code it according to fire integrity of each wall.
